Do Carestaff have a reputable name?

We are proud of the relationships established in 1999 and maintained to date. We remain the first call for our preferred provider clients and strive to recruit nurses of the highest calibre. It is our nurses that have helped Carestaff to build its renowned name as being the number local agency of choice.



Carestaff maintains ISO 9001:2015 certification. Carestaff is also an active member of the Recruitment and Consulting Services Association (RCSA), and also holds full membership status to the Australian Association of Nursing Recruitment Agencies (AANRA). As a member of these associations, we are bound by a strict code of professional conduct.

Will I receive regular work?

We are inundated with calls and receive a large volume of shifts. Carestaff works hard to provide consistent shifts for our nurses so you can enjoy the benefits of a regular routine at facilities with which you are familiar. Including:

  • Advanced bookings for set roster periods

How do you find the right nurse, for the right shift?

With our up-to-the-minute Allocations Program, we ensure you, as a valued nurse, are skill matched with the corresponding shifts based upon your:

  • qualifications
  • chosen areas of interest
  • geographic location
Will I be supported?

Our nurses will tell you they feel they are part of a team. Being a locally-based business we concentrate on providing a professional, friendly, efficient and reliable service to our clients and nurses.


Our Allocations team is available between 5am and 11pm, 7 days a week. You also have the support of one of our Clinical Nurse Consultants for any further needs.



How do I maintain my Mandatory Education?

Choosing Carestaff Education at a cost of $25 allows you unlimited access and ownership of the modules. The education can be purchased via Carestaff over the phone with a credit card or in the Carestaff Office. This amount is tax deductible and the education can be completed online in the comfort of your home.



How will I be notified of shifts or contracts and the latest news?

You will be called, or receive an SMS. We also offer shift information and the latest news via email. Plus keep an eye on our social media pages – just click on the social media buttons at the end of our home page.



Will there be consistency?

Carestaff has genuine preferred provider status with multiple facilities including major groups, guaranteeing our nurses advanced bookings, financial benefit, and prioritised shift allocation.



Are you flexible?

We have a committed team who expertly match your skillset and work preferences with the shifts that YOU require on the days that YOU prefer.



Can I work elsewhere and with Carestaff?

Carestaff can be your sole employer, or we can support as secondary employment.



Does Carestaff provide sponsorship?

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide sponsorship. We ask that the relevant Australian Work Visa is secured prior to registration with Carestaff. It is also a mandatory requirement that holders of a working visa’s have completed the ‘International English Language Test’ also known as the IELTS. An overall result of 6 or above needs to be achieved in order to secure a position with Carestaff.



Can I upskill with Carestaff?

Once you have committed to Carestaff we have qualified nurses available to support you on shift should you need to further educate or upskill into a new work environment. Please note this is subject to availability.



Can I work with Carestaff as a Registered Nurse New Graduate?

After you have gained 12 months experience as a new graduate Registered please contact our lovely recruitment team.



Can I work with Carestaff while I am studying?

Yes, students currently studying registered and enrolled nursing select Carestaff as the workplace of choice due to our diverse opportunities and flexibility to work around your study timetable. Whilst gaining valuable experience in the industry.



Can I work in both hospitals and aged care?

The ideal Carestaff nurse will support both the acute and aged care sector. We encourage you to expand your skillset while still nurturing your area of expertise.



Do you provide Rural contracts?

Yes! Please call our Recruitment team to discuss available contracts.



Do you provide nurses to Brisbane Hospitals or facilities?

Due to long standing contractual agreements with many large organisations and facilities, we are one of the most trusted providers of skilled nurses in Brisbane.



Can I work in a specific area?

Upon registration with Carestaff, preferences are submitted to our Recruitment Team and shifts are allocated accordingly.



Will you contribute to my superannuation?

As an employee of Carestaff, you will receive all of your superannuation entitlements.



Do you provide the necessary insurances?

Yes. We provide professional indemnity, public liability, medical malpractice and work cover insurances.
